The lotus plant is a beautiful sight with majestic blooms and unusual seedpods atop large leaves floating on ponds across Asia. The entire plant is edible (leaf, flower, seed, root) but the flower with seeds is main crops of the farmer and it is the most commonly used in cooking and is especially important in vegetarian cuisine.
Lotus is very popular in Vietnam, specially in Dong Thap Province. The lotus seed chips is vacumm fried lotus seed. The product is very crunchy and yummy.
